The EM12-T supply module takes the DC 24 V supply voltage, e.g. from a switch mode power supply unit, and distributes it to the mounted REX12-T / REX12D-T / REX22D-T circuit protectors via the integral connector arm. The potential-free Si auxiliary contact in the EM12-T indicates errors and faults detected by the circuit protectors, e.g. to a superordinate control unit (CPU).

The supply modules are always installed at the first position of a REX system structure. This can either be the left-hand side of the first circuit protector or, if connected to the prevailing bus system, the left-hand side of the CPC12 ControlPlex® bus controller.
